When a Painting Becomes a Force for Changing the World

Song of Li Fu
  • Art has long shaped civilizations. Today, it also carries the power to heal, unite, and guide humanity forward.

On August 1, 1999, in San Francisco, Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze articulated a far-reaching aspiration—“A World of One Heart, A Wellspring of Happiness.” He envisioned a world free from sorrow, fear, war, and suffering, grounded in shared human values.

Since that moment, Dr. Hong has led volunteers to more than 120 nations, advancing the ideals of love and peace through cultural exchange, world leader summits, and the Bell of World Peace and Love Ringing Ceremonies. Through these sustained efforts, he has fostered dialogue among heads of state in place of confrontation—helping to avert three imminent armed conflicts at critical junctures in international affairs and saving countless lives. These actions are widely recognized as landmark achievements in global peacebuilding.

On August 1, 2025, Dr. Hong further articulated this vision in his address “A World of One Heart, Peace and Sustainability,” delivered in Canada. He reaffirmed that love, peace, conscience, and hope are not abstract ideals, but essential spiritual forces underpinning sustainable global development.

Devoting his life to the safety and well-being of humanity—and to harmony among nations—Dr. Hong has tirelessly sown the seeds of peace. To ensure that this vision endures across generations, the Ho Mei Foundation established the LIFU brand, grounded in the mission of “benefiting all beings and bringing blessings to humanity.”

With art at its core, LIFU advances peace and sustainability as living values. All proceeds are reinvested into public-interest foundations, supporting the dissemination of conscience, fostering international cultural exchange, nurturing holistic well-being of body, mind, and spirit, and contributing to the sustainable future of our planet.

  • From Depicting the Visible World to Awakening the Spirit

Claude Monet led art from depicting the world to depicting light.
Vincent van Gogh led art from light to the expression of inner feeling.
Pablo Picasso led art from inner feeling to reconstructing how we perceive reality.

The Hong Tao Tze Foundation now opens another dimension for art.

Here, art is not merely an act of creation—it is a path of inner elevation. Through the purification of the heart and the rediscovery of inner peace, art becomes a means of responding to and stabilizing the world. In an era marked by global uncertainty, this role is not only relevant, but essential.

Dr. Hong’s philosophy profoundly influenced the artist Chinhung Lee, inspiring him to donate his entire lifetime of works to the Foundation’s collection. In doing so, Lee integrated his artistic legacy into the mission of “benefiting all beings and bringing blessings to humanity,” and continues to create in alignment with this guiding conviction.

Lee’s works transcend conventional boundaries of color and form. They transform lived experience and philosophical insight into expansive visual horizons—embodying both the depth of human transformation and the vast harmony of nature. Effortless yet profound, his paintings invite viewers into contemplative spaces of boundless inner experience.

Through his methods of “explosive sketching” and jade-like chromatic textures, Lee has forged a unique visual language in which energy, rhythm, life, and consciousness converge within the pictorial field—establishing a singular presence in contemporary abstract art.

An American art critic has acclaimed him the “King of Color,” recognizing the penetrating vitality of his chromatic expression. His works have been collected by global leaders, distinguished figures, and national museums around the world.

  • Cultural Significance and Enduring Value

Collecting art has never been merely an aesthetic pursuit. It is a long-term strategy encompassing:

value appreciation × asset diversification × intergenerational legacy

As widely discussed in Rich Dad Poor Dad, various avenues exist for wealth creation. In recent years, however, traditional asset classes such as gold and real estate have faced increasing limitations in returns, liquidity, and taxation. In response, fine art—particularly high-quality works of cultural significance—has reemerged as a focal point for discerning collectors.

Defined by scarcity and value retention, such works possess a dual character:
they are both super-luxury cultural assets and long-term hedging instruments, preserving—and often enhancing—their real value amid inflation and currency fluctuation.

Yet not all artworks possess enduring collectible value. Art history reveals that works capable of withstanding repeated tests of time and market forces are typically created by artists who redefine the trajectory of art itself. Such creators share three defining characteristics:

    ●      Breakthrough — the creation of unprecedented styles or visual languages

    ●      Influence — the capacity to inspire and redirect future artistic development

    ●      Historical Turning Point — the embodiment of a leap in the aesthetic and intellectual consciousness of an era

The Hong Tao Tze Foundation’s collection comprises precisely such works.

To collect now is to stand at a rare point of origin, as these works enter a future defined by increasing scarcity and enduring cultural significance.

  • Participating in Changing the World

When peace and sustainability × art × public good converge, collecting assumes a deeper cultural and social meaning.

Each acquisition becomes an act of shared benefit—supporting the artist’s continued creation while tangibly advancing the Foundation’s global initiatives for love, peace, and conscience. It safeguards personal cultural capital while allowing the transformative power of art to extend outward into the world.

Here, participation in changing the world begins in the present moment.

    As Dr. Hong has stated:

“The meaning of life lies in creating happiness and sustainability for humanity.”

    Art transcends culture.
    Collecting transcends time.
And every collector becomes an essential companion on the journey toward a more peaceful and sustainable world.
