Dao Lu, born in Vietnam in 1954 and currently residing in the United States, is a distinguished artist who studied under Lingnan School master Liang Shaohang. He excels in depicting flowers, birds, and animals with vibrant and natural ink brush strokes. His works merge traditional Chinese painting techniques with Western color schemes, resulting in vivid colors and unique compositions. Before moving to the United States, he was already a renowned painter in Vietnam, with his works selling out immediately upon release. He has held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in international joint exhibitions in China, the United States, and Vietnam. Recognized as one of the top 100 Chinese calligraphers and painters in North America, he is a member of the Oriental Art Association of America and the Global Artists Association U.S.A. The Lingnan School is known for its innovative approach that blends traditional and Western painting styles, and Dao Lu continues this legacy, creating works that are highly collectible.
